Public understanding of biotechnology is critical to the growth of the life sciences industry in Illinois. Practically every day, congressmen and women debate issues that affect the public availability of powerful new biotech drugs. All citizens should be informed about and have a working knowledge of biotechnology so that they can provide input to their elected leaders.
